PURIIY BANQUET 2009

On Feb. 20, we had our third annual Purity Banquet for the teens and their parents. It is always such a wonderful, sweet time. This year was no different. The "S.I.S." ladies in charge of the banquet were Teresa Littrell, Trista Sharpeta, Shawna Noble, and Judy Johnson. They did such a terrific job!

The all white decorating scheme was so beautiful with the soft glow of the candles and the white strung lights reflecting off the silver cande sticks. The peaceful music playing beautifully and the wonderful food (catered by Fazolis) was just superb! It makes me want to have a dinner like that every Sat. night! (By the way I'm glad Preacher and I get to come to this!)

We do have such a good group of teens. We are so glad to be able to do this special dinnner once a year for them. Thanks Bro. Tim and Mrs. Sarah for doing such a good job with the teens.

A special thanks goes to The Sisters in Service ladies for all their hard work! Thanks Ladies!
Purely Beautiful!

Thank you so much Marsha L. for cooking such a delicious meal! Thank you Jennifer F. for your beautiful flower arrangements. Thank you so much Martha O. for all of your help. Thank you Judy J. for your sweet help for your daughter! Also we want to thank John Wallace for his work and for overseeing the teen boys as they served us so willingly. Pastor Moore, our speaker, brought a wonderful devotion and he and Gail sang "I'll Be Yours Forever". Sweeeeet!!!!!

The games were a hoot! The conversations hearts was a terriffic idea. We laughed so hard especially at the McCrackens, who won the poem reading of "How Do I Love Thee?" It was Scott's illustration of how he would carry Caron over the threshold that won them the prize!!!! Sweeeeet!!!!!!

EVERTIE MOORE DAY FEB 8, 2009

The first event of the year that was planned and carried out with our "SIS" was "Evertie Moore Day". Sandi Jarros did a wonderful job, especially of keeping it a surprise for "Papa" as he (Evertie) is affecionately called by everyone. He had no idea. It was a wonderful day. Many of his family members was here, and he was honoured by so many wonderful things being said of him and by two or three special presentaions. The pot luck meal went off great and Sandy did a beautiful cake rendition of a mountain scene. The theme of the day was "I Want That Mountain". From the first idea of who to direct this event, Sandi Jaros was the one. Thanks so much Sandi!!!
